Ride Report Friday 3rd June 2022 SANDROS Berwick.

8th June 2022
By Craig Doova Davis
This was the first Friday night ride where points were on offer for the Polar Patch.

Greetings and Salutations from across the suburbs

The Polar Patch is awarded to the brave (mad) riders who come out to play rain, hail or shine. You must achieve a minimum of 12 club rides between 1st of June and 31 August. Yes right through winter.

This night was chilly but thankfully it was dry. I had the pleasure of leading this ride and David Dawn volunteered to be tail end Charlie on his trike.

We decided to take a direct route to the destination to take advantage of the private marquee that had been set aside for our groups exclusive use. The heaters inside were cranked and it didn’t take long to thaw out especially when the food started to come out.

The food is always good at Sandro’s and Rohan looked after us as always. He said when the weather improves, he would like to have us back for one of his outdoor cookups.

It was great to see Lisa drop in for a coffee with us later in the night.

It will be interesting to see who continues to brave the winter riding season and collect that elusive polar patch.

See you on the road

Doova
